Engineered Without Compromise.
Most espresso machines are built to do everything. Ours was built to do one thing exceptionally well.
After years of being espresso enthusiasts and working on countless machines, we saw a gap in the market: a commercial-grade espresso machine built specifically for espresso, not milk steaming, and not loaded with unnecessary complexity.
We designed this machine from the ground up for those who care most about what ends up in the cup.
No steam system. No extra plumbing. No oversized footprint. No unnecessary maintenance.
Precision espresso. Controlled by the user, not the machine.
Why This Machine Exists
Most espresso machines force users to buy into systems they may never use. Steam boilers, steam valves, steam wands, and all the additional plumbing add complexity, maintenance, energy consumption, and failure points.
Built from an espresso-only design philosophy, this machine removes everything non-essential, allowing every component and engineering decision to focus on extraction quality, serviceability, and long-term reliability.
Core Features
Saturated Boiler Design
Built around a proven saturated boiler architecture, the group head is integrated directly into the boiler system to promote thermal consistency throughout extraction.
Integrated Boiler Architecture
The group head and boiler neck are machined from a solid block of 304 stainless steel, with all internal water routing accomplished through precision-machined channels in the metal itself rather than internal tubing, eliminating unnecessary fittings, seals, and service points. The assembly is then precision micro-welded to the 304 stainless steel boiler body, creating a simplified boiler construction with fewer sealing surfaces, fewer wearable gaskets, and fewer potential leak points over time.
Pressure Profiling
Direct control over pressure, direct control over flavor
Pressure profiling gives the user direct control over extraction pressure throughout the shot, allowing pressure to be adjusted in real time to shape flow rate, extraction yield, body, clarity, and balance.
At the heart of the system is the Fluid-o-Tech FG304 precision gear pump, paired with an industrial potentiometer for direct manual control. Unlike traditional vibration or rotary pump systems that operate at a fixed pressure curve, the gear pump allows smooth, immediate, and highly repeatable pressure adjustments throughout extraction.
The FG304 gear pump was selected specifically for its pulseless flow characteristics, precise volumetric control, and long-term reliability. Its magnetically driven gear produces exceptionally stable pressure delivery, giving the user a level of control and consistency not achievable with conventional pump designs.
Paired with a direct-input potentiometer, pressure adjustments remain fully manual and fully intuitive. A machined brass control knob adds rotational weight for a deliberate, mechanical feel while making adjustments. Integrated indexing notches in the brass provide tactile feedback during rotation and create natural reference points for repeatable positioning.
This is pressure profiling in its purest form: immediate, tactile, and fully user controlled.
Built-In Shot Timer
The integrated shot timer provides immediate visibility into extraction time, allowing users to monitor shot duration in real time without relying on external timers or additional workflow steps.
When dialing in espresso, time works alongside pressure, grind size, and dose as one of the primary variables affecting extraction balance and repeatability.
By integrating shot timing directly into the machine, workflow becomes more streamlined, allowing users to focus on the extraction itself.
This simplifies recipe development, improves consistency, and makes repeatable results easier to achieve.
Bluetooth Enabled Industrial PID Controller
Industrial precision, modern adjustability.
Temperature stability is another critical variable in espresso extraction, and maintaining it with precision requires more than a basic thermostat.
This machine uses the Novus N20K48 industrial PID controller, selected for its high-precision control architecture, self-adaptive tuning capabilities, and Bluetooth connectivity. Designed for demanding industrial process environments, the N20K48 continuously monitors and adjusts boiler temperature with exceptional speed and accuracy, minimizing temperature swing and improving shot-to-shot consistency.
To simplify setup and adjustment, Novus developed a dedicated mobile app that can be downloaded directly to your smartphone, allowing complete access to controller parameters through Bluetooth connection. Temperature setpoints, tuning values, control behavior, alarms, and system parameters can all be adjusted directly from the app without opening panels or connecting hardwired interfaces.
Unlike simpler PID systems, the N20K48 uses advanced self-tuning algorithms to automatically optimize control behavior based on real-world operating conditions, improving temperature stability while reducing setup complexity.
Its industrial-grade architecture was designed for long-term reliability, serviceability, and field adjustability, aligning with the overall philosophy of the machine: durable, serviceable, and engineered without compromise.
Industrial-Grade Electrical Components
Premium off-the-shelf industrial electrical components, selected for demanding 24/7 manufacturing environments, ensuring easy sourcing, straightforward serviceability, and long-term reliability.
Premium Material Selection
Material selection matters, not just for appearance, but for durability, hygiene, serviceability, and long-term ownership.
Every material in this machine was selected with function first: glass, brass, stainless steel, and aluminum. No plastic components, no unnecessary composite internals, and no cost-driven material substitutions.
Where many modern machines, including high-end models, rely on molded plastic components, internal tubing assemblies, and complex multi-material construction to reduce manufacturing cost and simplify assembly, this machine uses the following materials:
- Brass - selected for its natural antimicrobial properties, corrosion resistance, and long history of proven use in fluid-contact applications.
- Stainless Steel - selected for structural durability, corrosion resistance, and sanitary fluid contact.
- Aluminum - selected where weight reduction, structural efficiency, and machinability provide the greatest benefit.
- Glass - remains one of the cleanest and most stable materials for visibility and monitoring, but it was ultimately chosen to reflect the machine’s core philosophy: no corners cut. By making the machine’s internal systems visible, the engineering, craftsmanship, and material choices remain on full display.
The result is a machine built not just to perform when new, but to maintain that performance through years of ownership, service, and repair.
Stalt Pressure Gauge
Equipped with the Stalt Design 51mm espresso pressure gauge, this machine gives you immediate visual feedback throughout extraction, with a clean, highly legible dial and precision movement.
Designed specifically for espresso, the gauge features a clearly defined ideal extraction range, highlighted by a dedicated 9-bar reference mark, making it easier to dial in and repeat exceptional shots.
Its crisp black-and-white dial layout prioritizes instant readability, while the motorsport-inspired needle provides precise visual reference at a glance.
Purpose-built for performance and clarity, it’s a functional tool first, designed to help you understand and refine every shot.
Modular Drip Tray
Compact when stored, flexible when needed
The removable drip tray was designed not only to be stowed beneath the machine when not in use, reducing the machine’s overall footprint, but to serve practical purposes beyond stowability. By allowing the workspace beneath the group head to be quickly cleared, the machine becomes a more flexible brewing platform for a wider range of coffee workflows.
With the drip tray removed, additional vertical clearance is created for larger vessels, allowing precision espresso extractions to integrate more easily into other preparation workflows, such as americanos and other mixed coffee preparations.
While the machine was designed with an espresso-only philosophy, we have found additional practical benefits in daily use, including:
- Pour-over brewing directly from the machine’s group head
- Filling kettles for manual brewing methods
- Purging and flushing the group into larger vessels
- Cleaning and maintenance access without obstruction
The removable design also simplifies cleaning by allowing the tray to be quickly emptied, rinsed, and returned to service without interrupting workflow.
Like the rest of the machine, the drip tray was designed around usability, simplicity, and serviceability, reducing friction in daily use while expanding its practical versatility.
Designed to be personalized
The legs and side panels were intentionally designed as modular aesthetic components because we understand that every owner has their own style preferences and values the ability to make the equipment they own uniquely their own.
While the machine’s internal engineering was designed with strict functional priorities, the external modular components were intentionally kept simple and adaptable, creating an open platform for personalization without compromising performance.
Every machine purchaser will receive the original CAD STEP (.STP) files for the legs and side panels, allowing complete customization and local sourcing or manufacturing.
Whether machined, fabricated, printed, or crafted from entirely different materials, owners have the freedom to put their own creative touch on the machine and make it reflect their personal style.
This approach allows the machine to evolve with the owner, making it as personal on the outside as it is intentional on the inside.
